後(こう)門(もん)

彼(かれ)は会(かい)社(しゃ)を辞(や)めたものの、新(あたら)しい職(しょく)場(ば)もまた厳(きび)しい環(かん)境(きょう)で、前(ぜん)門(もん)の虎、後門(とら、こうもん)の狼(おおかみ)だと思(おも)いました。

• Even though he quit his company, his new workplace was also a harsh environment, and he felt like he was jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

会(かい)社(しゃ)を辞(や)めて新(あたら)しい仕(し)事(ごと)を探(さが)したが、結(けっ)局(きょく)は前(まえ)の職(しょく)場(ば)と同(おな)じような環(かん)境(きょう)だった。まさに後(こう)門(もん)の虎、前門(とら、ぜんもん)の狼(おおかみ)だ。

• I quit my company and looked for a new job, but in the end, the environment was just like my previous workplace. It was truly a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire.
